Granny Cousins 'Halloween' Ghost Walks of Old Town Poole

Granny Cousins 'Halloween' Ghost Walks of Old Town Poole (2)

Well the nights are drawing in, the conkers are dropping and thoughts turn to the October Half Term it's.........Halloween.

Granny 'n' Red always stayed in for Halloween toasting crumpets in front of the fire, but then people started ringing up and asking if we were doing Ghost Walks. We started doing them a few years ago and they have become a highlight of our year.

Tickets are only available via Eventbrite ticket sales pages on the Intermenet, we do hope you'll join us.

Do dress up and bring a lamp or two, maybe a bit of Bonfire Toffee to keep Granny 'n' Red going on the night.

Here's the dates, times and Eventbrite sites:

Saturday 28 October at 7.00pm

and Monday 30 October at 8.00pm

Poppy Fields Workshop

Written by

We worked with Limelights centre for young people to share our research, make poppies and

talk about rememberance and the feelings we have about war.

The Call

Who's for the trench -

Who's for the trench -
Are you, my laddie?
Who'll follow French -
Will you, my laddie?
Who's fretting to begin,
Who's going out to win?
And who wants to save his skin -
Do you, my laddie?

Who's for the khaki suit -
Are you, my laddie?
Who longs to charge and shoot -
Do you, my laddie?
Who's keen on getting fit,
Who means to show his grit,
And who'd rather wait a bit -
Would you, my laddie?

Who'll earn the Empire's thanks -
Will you, my laddie?
Who'll swell the victor's ranks -
Will you, my laddie?
When that procession comes,
Banners and rolling drums -
Who'll stand and bite his thumbs -
Will you, my laddie?
